Jun 7 Annual Snapping Turtle Walk
Staff members of National Audubon Society’s Constitution Marsh Sanctuary will provide an educational program on one of Boscobel’s most fascinating natural events. In early-to-mid June, female snapping turtles crawl up the steep bank from their habitat in Constitution Marsh to lay their eggs. The program will feature live turtles from the marsh, after which staff members will lead a walk around the grounds in search of female turtles. This program is held rain or shine. Coffee, juice and doughnuts will be served beginning at 7:00 a.m. The program will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. Adults: $12 Children (12 and under): $8 www.boscobel.org

NOTE: These are NOT organized events. There is no leader or organizer. Paddlers accept sole responsibility for themselves. These outings are not for kayakers who have not paddled several times on the Hudson River. Rain and/or high winds cancel.
